Platform · WordPress
WordPress development, built to be owned.
WordPress is what Sites Crafted builds on most, and sixteen of the seventeen sites in our portfolio run on it. Builds start at $500 ex GST for up to three pages. You own the site, the hosting can move, and nothing in it depends on a subscription to us continuing.
The platform we build on most, and the one every site in our portfolio runs on.
Why this one
What WordPress is genuinely good at.
You can leave
The site, the database and the files are yours. Any WordPress developer anywhere can pick it up.
It grows sideways
Service pages, location pages, a shop, a booking system — all bolt on without a rebuild.
We run sixteen of them
All but one of the sites in our portfolio is WordPress, so nothing here is theory.
The trade-off
Every platform costs you something.
It needs looking after. Core, theme and plugin updates are not optional, and a WordPress site nobody maintains becomes a security problem within about a year. That is why hosting and care is part of what we quote rather than an upsell afterwards.
Suits: Almost any business site that needs to grow, and every business that wants the option of taking its site elsewhere later.
Built on it
Sites we run on WordPress.
Websites from $500 ex GST
Up to 3 pages $500. Up to 10 pages $1,000. Up to 25 pages $2,500. All ex GST and quoted before we start. E-commerce, GoHighLevel and anything larger is priced on scope.
Frequently asked questions
Do I need a maintenance plan?
If nobody is applying core, theme and plugin updates, a WordPress site becomes a security problem within about a year. You do not have to buy that from us, but somebody has to do it, and we would rather say so now than hand you a site that quietly rots.
What does a WordPress site cost?
The same as any other site we build: $500 ex GST for up to three pages, $1,000 for up to ten, $2,500 for up to twenty-five. Platform subscriptions, where the platform charges one, are paid by you directly to them and are not part of our price. Full pricing.
Can you move an existing site onto WordPress?
Usually. What matters is where the content and the URLs are now, because a migration that changes every URL without redirecting them throws away whatever search visibility the old site had. We check that first and tell you what it will cost to keep.
Who looks after it afterwards?
We do, if you want us to. Hosting, updates, backups and someone to call are part of what we quote rather than an upsell at handover. Seventeen sites are on that arrangement now.
